The "Made on the Coast" (MotC) Artists' Group
Each year, local artists take over one block on Main Street for a Sunday, creating a popular one-day pop-up of great local art with 20 booths occupying the block between Mill and Kelly during the annual Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival. This year, we will strut our stuff from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 14th, 2018.
The Made on the Coast block is a juried show of Coastside artists, who live and create in Coastal San Mateo County, (defined as Montara to Pescadero, Skyline to the ocean). Entries are reviewed and juried by other local artists, who aim to keep the quality and originality of the art high, and keep the booth offerings balanced and varied. Visitors to the festival rave about this block.
It’s great publicity for the artists, an opportunity to network and promote handmade wares, upcoming sales, open studios and workshops.
Last year’s block was a great success with 18 local artists participating!
